The Hamriyah refinery is designed with substantial on-site storage and processing infrastructure to sustain operations even during periods of regional disruption.
Dedicated tank farms providing segregated feedstock and product storage across the facility
Individual storage tanks across both farms for flexible, segregated product management
Total combined on-site storage capacity across all tank infrastructure at the refinery
Estimated feedstock buffer coverage at planned throughput of 450–500 tonnes per day
The refinery's on-site storage infrastructure consists of two dedicated tank farms housing a total of 24 individual tanks. This configuration provides the flexibility to segregate different feedstock grades and finished product streams, enabling efficient inventory management and quality control.
With a combined capacity of approximately 32,000 m³, the storage system is scaled to match the refinery's planned throughput of 450–500 tonnes per day, providing approximately 50–55 days of feedstock coverage at full operational rates.
This buffer capacity is a critical operational mitigant, allowing the refinery to maintain uninterrupted production during any temporary supply disruption without relying on emergency procurement.
With 32,000 m³ of on-site storage across two dedicated tank farms, AFK Petroleum can sustain uninterrupted production for 50–55 days even during periods of complete supply disruption, representing an exceptional operational buffer within the regional refining landscape.
Enquire About Capacity →The refinery is sized and configured for efficient condensate processing, producing the highest-value refined products.
Planned daily throughput capacity, processing condensate feedstock from UAE and regional suppliers into a portfolio of refined petroleum products.
The refinery's processing units are configured specifically for condensate feedstock, optimising the yield of naphtha and middle distillates, the highest-margin product segments.
The configuration allows flexibility in product output ratios, enabling the refinery to respond to shifts in market demand and maximise margin capture across different product categories.
