Core Operations

How We Operate

Designed for Resilience, Start to Finish

AFK Petroleum's operational model is engineered end-to-end, covering everything from sourcing condensate feedstock locally to delivering finished products through regional distribution networks, entirely within the Gulf.

Feedstock Procurement

Primary condensate sourced from UAE-based producers via commercial supply arrangements. Short distances and predictable logistics keep transit risk to a minimum.

🔗

Secondary Supply Channels

Diversified procurement from Saudi Arabia and Iraq provides redundancy against single-source disruptions and additional feedstock flexibility.

🏭

Refining & Processing

Condensate processed through a configuration optimised for naphtha, diesel and kerosene, the highest-margin products across all market cycles.

🛢️

Storage Management

Two tank farms, 24 tanks, ~32,000 m³ total capacity, providing approximately 50–55 days of feedstock buffer at planned throughput rates.

🚛

Domestic Distribution

Products sold within the UAE via local trucking and storage networks, with no dependence on international tanker routes or maritime transit.

🛡️

Risk & Insurance

Comprehensive coverage including war & terrorism, CAR, business interruption and DSU insurance, all structured to protect operations and investor capital.

Independent of the Strait of Hormuz

One of AFK Petroleum's most significant operational strengths is its independence from international maritime chokepoints.

🗺️

Intra-Regional Supply Routes

Feedstock supply routes are intra-regional and delivered through short-distance logistics channels, without reliance on long-haul international shipping or transit through the Strait of Hormuz.

🚛

Domestic Product Distribution

Refined products are sold within the UAE domestic market using local storage and trucking infrastructure, eliminating the need for export shipping or international distribution routes.

📦

50–55 Day Feedstock Buffer

On-site storage of ~32,000 m³ provides an estimated 50–55 days of feedstock at planned throughput, ensuring operations continue during any temporary logistics disruption.

🏭

Condensate Advantage

Condensate feedstock may trade at discounts relative to crude oil, improving margins. Processing condensate into naphtha and kerosene aligns directly with strong-demand segments in the Gulf market.
